N: My name is Nicky. I’m from Ireland and I’m primarily in the business of helping people seek freedom from anxiety or panic disorder and the associated depression.
(on screen) *Why did you come to Dojo Bali?*
N: I came to, I came to Dojo Bali because I was in Bali and I initially went to Ubud and realised that I wanted to be closer to the coast. And then I, kind of, looking around at all my different options around here and Dojo was a stand-out amongst them all.
(on screen) *What did you find at Dojo Bali?*
N: It, it, it’s really like the support network you get but, but most of all just the people you meet and, and like the friendships you, you gain, if that’s the right word. Um, just every day is, is a different day. You get a lot of work done. It’s easy to be productive here. Although, you would think it isn’t ‘cus it’s blazing hot the whole time and you can go surfing two minutes down the road. But really it’s meeting awesome people that you can just, kind of, laugh with on a daily basis.
(on screen) *What is the very best thing about Dojo Bali*
N: I know you want me to say community but I’m not gonna say it. But I will say the people I meet here. Yeah, definitely the people. So, just going out every day meeting cool new interesting people doing all sorts of crazy stuff and, and just having a laugh with them.
(on screen) *What would you say to anyone thinking about coming to Dojo Bali*
N: If you’re thinking about, if you’re seriously thinking about it then come. It’s, uh, like, um, Bali is, is amazing. Um, Dojo, like Canggu is, it depends what you’re into but Canggu is definitely the best spot in Bali in my opinion. Am, and the community and everything that goes on at Dojo is, is always, everyone is so welcoming, including myself. There’s just so much fun to be had here and, and so many laughs and you actually can get a lot of work done but, like I w-, if you are coming to start up a new project and you’re not, like, sure what you need to be doing and stuff like that. Don’t get sold on how easy these people on Facebook pretend it is if you follow their ten st-, step solution. Really do your homework, am, and make sure you’re, kind of, obsessive about it if you’re gonna come out and start something yourself. If not, I’d probably recommend just travelling and taking a time out and seeing the entire world. Just, ah, when you do arrive look out for Martin Henley and try to avoid him as much as possible. ‘Cus he’s a dick. (laughter)I ca- (laughter).
