Poppy was a personal asistant when she arrived at Dojo. Now she is the owner of her own cosmetic brand. The path to realise her dream was not an easy one, but Dojo helped her on the way to make relevant connections and get the inspiration and motivation she needed.

My name is Poppy Malise, I’m from Sumatra and I just moved here to Bali around 5 months ago. I’m doing business development for a Swiss company. We are important asphalt to Indonesia and supply that to contractors for central and eastern parts of Indonesia.
Right now I’m also developing a beauty coconut oil product.
I found that Dojo Bali is a great community and I feel that working in Dojo is better than working in an office. In my office there are only 2 people, it’s pretty boring to talk to the same person every time. In Dojo I can talk to a lot of people, they also have lots of inspiring stories. We are helping each other to get better and we can share our skills.
I think that working in Dojo Bali is really helping me to focus towards my work. A lot of people in here work really hard and I feel like I need to work hard as well, so it’s helping me a lot in my work. I made a lot of relationships with other people, and they share a lot of inspiring stories. That’s how I came up with the idea of making this beauty product that we will launch around next year. So that is the greatest thing in Dojo – people inspire other people.
Just come to Dojo Bali because it’s a great place. It’s a great community, where you can find new best friends. I think Dojo is the best coworking space in Bali.
