This note on Nyepi is a personal reflection on the importance of taking a moment of silence. For me personally, Nyepi became the most special moment in my life, a time when I can refill the energy I’ve spent for a year and collect the pieces of my life that may have been left behind. In solitude of Nyepi I was invited to explore the meaning of my life.

Kristo is a native of Flores, East Nusa Tenggara and has lived in Bali since June 2016. Since September 2016 he has been working as a Host at Dojo Bali Coworking. He has a passion for writing and social science. A few years ago, he was involved in social work with migrants and seafarers in the Philippines. Kristo received his Bachelor Degree in Philosophy at Sekolah Tinggi Filsafat Katolik Ledalero and Loyola School of Theology, Manila, Philippines.
